Australia generated on average an estimated 450,000 tonnes of end of life tyres every year.

Most of Australia’s recycled tyres are exported overseas with only approximately 15% of our volume recovered domestically in to value-added products such as rubber crumb, sileage covers, playground materials and utilised in civil construction.

Another solution to recover the value from our waste tyres is required.

WRES' Pyrolysis and Oil Distillation facility is scheduled for commissioning in 2022 and will be contributing to Australia’s circular economy.

WRES utilises Pyrolysis technologies to cleanly convert waste tyres in to clean steel, recovered carbon black and tyre-derived oil.
Our oil product is then processed through our distillation facility to a product readily usable for many commercial purposes.
